BLOCKING ATTACHMENTS IN MICROSOFT OUTLOOK

If you are using Microsoft Outlook as an email client and you would like to block certain attachment types..
Then you need to perform the following steps to block certain file extensions from being sent:-

1. Click on Start | Run, type 'REGEDIT' and then click 'OK'.

2. Locate and then click on the following key in the Registry:- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\OFFICE\11.0\OUTLOOK\SECURITY

3. On the Edit Menu, point to New, and then Click on 'String Value'.

4. Type Level1Add, and then press Enter.

5. On the Edit Menu, Click on 'Modify'.

6. Type < File_name_extensions>, and then Click on 'OK'.

   Note:- 'File_name_extensions' should be a list of the attachment extensions, where each item is separated by a semicolon. After you have carried out the above exercise, you can Kiss SPAM with specified attachments GOODBYE!
